Three new online support meetings launched

Published on: 23 March 2021

We have extended our online support group meetings to provide support for Family Friends & Carers, Young People and for people affected by lymphoma in Northern Ireland.

Online Support Group Meeting

Our online support meetings provide opportunities for people to share experiences and provide mutual support to one another.

Ashley has recently joined our Northern Ireland online support meeting. He was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) in December 2019.

'It’s nice to be part of such a friendly group' he says. 'It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I feel very comfortable in sharing the experience of my condition with others who understand what I am going through. It’s also a great opportunity for the people in the group to socialise and meet others online at a time when many of them have had to shield due to health issues or vulnerability during the pandemic.'

'The group has been a useful place to go to for further information as well' he adds. 'I hadn’t heard of CLL before my diagnosis, but the information I have gathered from Lymphoma Action’s website, and from speaking to others in the group, has certainly helped me in understanding my condition. I can’t thank Lymphoma Action enough for their support – I know they are always there for me, and that makes such a difference.'
