Find out more about scans

Published on: 3 July 2024

Updated information on CT and PET/CT, MRI and ultrasound and X-ray scans now available.

CT Scanner

Tests and scans help doctors diagnose lymphoma and find out more about it after a diagnosis is confirmed. This helps them plan the best treatment. People may have further tests and scans during treatments, follow-up and if on active monitoring.

We have recently revised the following web pages:
CT and PET/CT scan
MRI scan
Ultrasound and X-ray scans

Each of our pages will:

  • provide details about the specific type of scan and how it works
  • explain what you might need to do to prepare for it
  • describe what it’s like having the scan
  • answer commonly asked questions about scans.
