Two new trustees have joined our Board of Trustees. Harriet Outred and Susan Daniels were appointed by the Board in July and bring invaluable expertise as well as personal experience and understanding of lymphoma to the Board.

Harriet’s appointment follows her volunteer work for us, most notably, as a member of the Reader Panel. Harriet had treatment for, and is living with, an exceptionally rare T-cell lymphoma, which brought her into contact with Lymphoma Action’s work. She currently works in risk and compliance at a global consultancy firm. Prior to this she qualified as an England and Wales solicitor and spent several years working at various international law firms.

“I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as a Lymphoma Action Trustee” says Harriet.  “I hope to draw upon my professional and my personal experience of living with lymphoma to support the Charity’s continued success and achievement of its objectives.”

Susan was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2013 and her father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma almost exactly one year later. Susan is committed to supporting other families and working towards better outcomes for all those affected by lymphoma. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in both Canada and the UK. She regularly works with different charities, patient advocacy groups and organisations to develop and deliver programmes for patient and carer education.

“My family and I have been living with lymphoma for the best part of the last decade” says Susan. “I have regularly looked to the lymphoma community for information and support over the years and am now so pleased to be able to join Lymphoma Action as a Trustee to help the Charity to continue providing invaluable support to families like mine” she concludes.

“We are thrilled to have Harriet and Susan join the Board of Trustees” adds Ropinder Gill, Chief Executive Officer at Lymphoma Action. “The last year has seen us increase the organisation’s impact, strengthen our digital strategy and support more people affected by lymphoma than ever before. We are looking forward to working with Harriet and Susan to do even more so that no one has to face lymphoma alone.”
