Men’s Health Week

Published on: 12 June 2024

Encouraging men to talk about the health issues that matter to them.

Mez, Andy, Matthew and Craig

This Men’s Health Week, we are sharing personal stories from a few of our male supporters who have helped to raise awareness about lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer.

Craig talks about the symptoms he experienced that led to a diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma. Matthew  shared his experience of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and his treatment that included CAR-T cell therapy, and Andy reflects on his experience of receiving nine lines of treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma, ahead of receiving an upcoming stem cell transplant.

In our latest podcast entitled No one like me is talking about this, Mez talks with honesty about his diagnosis and treatment for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and how he found it hard to find others going through the same experience.

I want to share my story with others, to be the person to them that I wish I’d had - putting their arms around me and telling me ‘you are going to be OK’...

Andy, diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma

We are so grateful to all our supporters that have shared their personal experiences of lymphoma. Our personal stories not only provide support to others who might be in a similar situation, but they also shine a light on this type of blood cancer. If you would like to share your story, please do get in touch with us.
