Your words of support

Published on: 1 October 2020

Thank you to everyone who shared their personal messages of support for someone who has just received a lymphoma diagnosis.

Words of support

During Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we spoke with some of our supporters and asked them: ‘What would you say to someone who has just been diagnosed with lymphoma?’ The response to our survey was fantastic, and we were so inspired by the answers that we have created an area on our website where anyone who might be going through a diagnosis can read them.

Know that you have the strength inside you to get through whatever is next.

We know that a lymphoma diagnosis might feel overwhelming, but hearing from others who have been affected can be a valuable source of support. Our online support meetings provide opportunities for people to share experiences and offer mutual support to one another, and our closed Facebook support group, Lymphoma Action Support UK is also a great place for people affected by lymphoma to connect with others affected by a lymphoma diagnosis.

Don’t forget that our Information and Support team are here to support anyone affected by lymphoma, whether they have been given a diagnosis themselves or are supporting a loved one.

Thank you as always for your support – together we will make sure that no one face has to face lymphoma alone.
