Distance Aware Badge

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, we know that people affected by lymphoma are concerned about staying safe when outside their homes. Order a ‘distance aware' badge to wear as a polite way to prompt ongoing distancing and respect of social space.

Distance Aware Badge

The Distance Aware Campaign was initially launched by NHS Wales, with the Department for Health and Social Care and the UK Government also formally backing the initiative. The double headed arrow symbolises safe distance, the shield signifies protection and the blue chevrons around the edge symbolise the NHS and the continued need to be alert. It is hoped that through charities such as Lymphoma Action, the distance aware shield will become the recognised symbol across the UK for those people who wish to have a safe distance maintained. The badge supports carers and those who are generally anxious, as well as those who are considered clinically extremely vulnerable.

We have put together a distance aware pack which includes two button badges and four stickers. The packs are free to order (please complete the form below) however, if you are able, we would really appreciate it if you could text SHIELD to 70331 to make a £3 donation towards our costs to produce and post out these badges. Note: We can only post the packs to addresses within the UK (including Isle of Man and the Channel Islands).

We have also created a poster to remind people to be distance aware and keep others safe, which can be displayed in your window; in the office or in a shop / restaurant windowDownload your distance aware poster here.
