Ropinder Gill - Lymphoma Action chief executive

We are delighted to announce that Ropinder Gill will be our new chief executive from Monday 13 August.

Ropinder joins us from Peace Hospice Care where she has served as Director of Income Generation and Director of Fundraising since 2014.

Ropinder has worked in the third sector for more than 17 years, including at the Epilepsy Society and The Children’s Society.

She said, ‘For more than 17 years, I have been privileged to work for organisations that have made a huge difference to people’s lives. The generosity of the people who support causes close to their heart; the difference that charities make and the dedication of people who work in them, have made it a very rewarding sector to work in.

‘My roles have previously focused on income generation - most recently I have been a Director at a hospice, managing more than 34 staff covering retail and fundraising, as well as being part of the senior team which had overall responsibility for the organisation.

‘Prior to the hospice, I was at Epilepsy Society for seven years, a disease-specific health charity that delivered support and information services not dissimilar to those provided by Lymphoma Action.

‘It has been and is going to remain a difficult time ahead for the charity sector. My role at Lymphoma Action is to navigate the challenges ahead and to continue to drive improvements in the diagnosis, care and treatment of lymphoma.

‘I want to thank everyone who already has and continues to support the charity. I hope that through our communications, events and conferences I get to meet the many people who play a part in Lymphoma Action - from our volunteers and supporters, to those that use our services and the healthcare professionals that work with us.

‘It’s my sincerest hope to be able to shape services for people affected by lymphoma in the way that most effectively delivers what they need and makes a difference to their day-to-day lives and their future. What Lymphoma Action has already achieved is fantastic so I am really excited to be joining an amazing and dedicated team.’
