Recruiting New Volunteer Buddies
Published on: 8 June 2023We are looking to recruit new Buddies with specific lymphoma experiences to support others.
Our peer-support Buddy Service links people to one of our specially trained volunteers who have a similar, lived experience of lymphoma. It offers people the opportunity to talk one-to-one with someone who can relate to their experience, provide support and a listening ear.
Our team of Buddies already represent a wealth of experience, but we are looking to widen the reach of the service by recruiting new Buddies with specific lymphoma experiences. This includes individuals who:
- have had specific types of lymphoma, or have received specific treatments following their diagnosis
- are between 18 and 30 years of age, willing to talk about lifestyle issues such as fertility, managing or returning to higher education or work
- are partners, carers, relatives or friends of someone with a lymphoma diagnosis
