Health Literacy Month, October 2024

Published on: 9 October 2024

Raising awareness of the importance of clear, up-to-date, trustworthy health information.

Health information three ticks

This month marks the 25th anniversary of global Health Literacy Month – an opportunity to promote the value of health information.

A key focus of health literacy is an individual's ability to access and use health information to make informed decisions about their health and care.

At Lymphoma Action, we’re committed to providing high quality information for people affected by lymphoma, their families and friends, and the healthcare professionals that support them. Our information is evidence-based, approved by experts and reviewed by users.

We are also an accredited Patient Information Forum (PIF) tick member, which helps people to identify at a glance that our information is trustworthy.

I direct everyone I meet in clinics to Lymphoma Action's resources. No matter how much time we take in clinics, people still need time to go away and digest information and look up the parts that are important to them. Lymphoma Action's resources are high quality, up-to-date and accurate, as well as being presented in a very user-friendly format.
