Chrissie is a Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and leads the service in Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

Since qualifying as a nurse in 2014, Chrissie has dedicated her career to cancer care.  She became a Haematology CNS in 2018, as well as the Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) cancer lead nurse for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Chrissie has also recently been appointed as designated TYA lead nurse for the Wessex region.

As a Haematology CNS, Chrissie has developed a specialist interest in lymphoma. She runs nurse-led clinics and has a specific clinic for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patients receiving treatment. Chrissie is currently working towards completing her master’s degree and has completed her non-medical prescribing course. She is passionate about improving care for lymphoma patients, and last year attended our Lymphoma Management course.

“I am honoured to be appointed as a Lymphoma Action Trustee with healthcare expertise” she says. “I am excited to bring my clinical knowledge and skills to the team. As a CNS, I represent the patient voice and will strive to improve care for lymphoma patients. I have always used Lymphoma Action as a resource for my patients and their families, so I know how important the Charity is and am very excited to be able to support and be a part of their continued success”.

“We are delighted to welcome Chrissie to our Board of Trustees” adds Mark Harrison, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Lymphoma Action. “Her insight, experience and knowledge will be hugely valuable as we continue to develop our services to support people affected by lymphoma.”
