Our first quiz night raises nearly £500
Published on: 12 April 2019Thank you to everyone who joined us in Aylesbury or held their own quiz night for us.
Last Thursday 4 April we held our first charity quiz night at The Hop Pole pub in Aylesbury. Six teams took part, with quiz master extraordinaire Joe Sale getting everyone’s brains working at full pelt and a delicious supper to follow.
The winning team won a bottle of prosecco kindly provided by Majestic Aylesbury and we held an excellent raffle with prizes donated from The Body Shop, The Hop Pole and others. It was great to see volunteers, staff and our local community come together for this fun evening.
In total we raised nearly £500 - this will pay for 20 calls to our helpline which offers free support and reassurance to anyone affected by lymphoma.
March was our quiz month so we'd also like to say a big thank you to everyone who requested our quiz pack to hold their own quiz to show their support - every donation helps us in our mission to make sure that no one faces lymphoma alone.
