Join us at our double zip challenge!

Published on: 24 July 2024

There’s still time to join #TeamLymphoma for an incredible experience this September.

Our zip line challenge is back this Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and this year it is even bigger with not one, but two zips taking place on Saturday 21 September! You can join Team Laura in Wales to take on the fastest zipline in the world, or Team Amy in Kent to tackle the longest zipline in England. They may be on opposite sides of the country, but both teams will have one goal in mind: to raise much needed awareness about lymphoma and funds to support our work.

Last year 40 brave supporters flew through the air at Velocity 2 in Penrhyn Quarry travelling across 1,555 metres at speeds of over 100mph and raising more than £20,000 to support our work. Seren braved the zip line alongside her grandad, shortly after completing her treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma.

“Velocity was such an incredible experience, and it was wonderful being a part of a group of people who have also been affected by lymphoma” she says. “I wouldn’t class myself as a thrill seeker, but my family and I felt so happy to be representing such an important cause that is so personal to me. It was such a proud moment and one that I will never forget. It feels so special to know that I have been a part of something that is going to have a positive impact on the lives of people who have been impacted by lymphoma.”

“We are so excited for our double zip challenge this year, and welcome anyone to join #TeamLymphoma in Kent or Wales” says Amy Billington, Senior Fundraising Manager at Lymphoma Action. “It promises to be an unforgettable experience, and an opportunity to raise awareness and funds during what is a very special month for us at Lymphoma Action. Your support will help us in our mission to make sure no one has to face lymphoma alone.”
