Community Sponsorship

Our Community Sponsorship Programme enables community groups to become involved with our vital work. By donating to the programme you will be making a real difference to the lives of people across the UK and in your local area who are affected by lymphoma.

There are a number of areas of our work that can be sponsored: 

  • £1,000 covers the costs to support the work of two Buddies for a year
    We have a team of 124 specially trained volunteer Buddies throughout the UK who provide tailored support over the phone. Each Buddy has a personal experience of lymphoma, so they can understand what someone is going through following a lymphoma diagnosis. 
     
  • £1,500 covers the costs of 55 calls to our Freephone Helpline 
    The core of our support is provided by our Helpline and associated support services such as our Live Chat, forums, and social media. In 2018, about 3,000 people contacted us directly for help and support. Our team of Information and Support Officers provide information and emotional support, and the Helpline is a route to a wider community and support network including our Support Groups and Buddy Service. 
     
  • £2,000 covers the costs of one of our Support Groups for a year  
    Our Support Groups meet regularly (usually once a month) and give people affected by lymphoma the opportunity to connect with others going through a similar experience in their local area. Sometimes there are guest speakers, such as a nurse or specialist, but mostly our Support Groups offer a safe environment where people can share experiences, ask questions and help each other through day to day issues.
     
  • £2,500 covers the mailing costs for one issue of Lymphoma Matters magazine 
    Our free magazine is sent out three times a year to our supporters across the UK and is packed with useful information for people affected by lymphoma. Each issue covers the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment, symptom management, stories of how other people are living with lymphoma and how people can get involved to support our work.

If you take part in our Community Sponsorship Programme you will receive acknowledgement on our website, permission to use our logo to promote your support, a speaker for events, branded materials for events, and a dedicated account manager to work with you to provide a tailored partnership.
