Healthcare Science Week

Healthcare Science Week, 11 to 15 March 2024, brings together over 50 scientific specialisms and professional groups to celebrate and raise awareness of the diverse NHS workforce.
A wide range of healthcare professionals are involved in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma. Our recently updated webpage, Your medical team, describes how lymphoma treatment involves a multidisciplinary team (MDT), and introduces the role of each of the members of this team. The team includes core members such as clinical oncologists or haematologists and clinical nurse specialists, behind-the-scene members such as pathologists, and extended members such as dieticians and physiotherapists.
Lymphoma Voices includes a number of podcasts which focus on the role of specific members of the lymphoma MDT:
- Wherever there is a medicine there is a pharmacist - the role of the hospital pharmacist
- The role of the radiologist in the diagnosis and management of lymphoma - Dr Manil Subesinghe
- The role of the pathologist in the diagnosis of lymphoma - Dr Bridget Wilkins
- The role of the GP in managing lymphoma - Dr Sarah Jarvis
