GP online training module

This online course highlights the importance of the early detection of lymphoma in primary care and uses real-life examples of classical and non-classical presentations to highlight the spectrum of this group of blood cancers.

Every 27 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with lymphoma. Many of them will have visited their GP several times and had to wait weeks or even months before being referred to hospital.

That’s why, in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and with donations from our supporters, we have developed an online training course to help increase GP understanding of lymphoma and improve survival and quality of life for lymphoma patients.

This course is free to RCGP members and available to purchase for all other primary healthcare professionals.

‘In the current NHS environment, the education and support provided for GPs is limited and lymphoma is certainly an area where this can be strengthened. The lymphoma course is a fantastic resource that is easy-to-use and provides a broad insight into the disease’
Dr Ben Riley, Medical Director of Curriculum at the RCGP

This training module was made possible thanks to our supporters in response to a restricted fundraising appeal and to significant donations made both in memory of Julie Bostock and in support of David Cradduck. A grant of £14,750 from Takeda UK Ltd was also used for promotional work, without any editorial input from them or involvement in the content.
