Regional Lymphoma Day, Newcastle

Join us in Newcastle on Friday 17 May to hear from medical experts about new and upcoming treatments for lymphoma, and how to manage symptoms and keep a healthy lifestyle. You will also have the opportunity to hear from people sharing their personal experiences of lymphoma, and share your experiences with others.

During this informative and interactive day you will have the opportunity to hear from medical experts, as well as meeting and connecting with others affected by lymphoma.

Tickets cost £20 per person and include lunch and refreshments.

9.00am Registration

Sign in to collect your name badge and welcome pack. Tea and coffee will be available.

9.30am Welcome and introduction to the day

Welcome and overview of the day.

9.45am New and future treatments with Q & A session

Dr Wendy Osborne, Consultant Haematologist at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle, will give an overview of new and future treatments for lymphoma.

10.30am Morning refreshments

An opportunity to meet, share and connect with others. Tea and coffee will be available.

11.15am My personal experience of living with lymphoma with Q & A session

Gill, diagnosed with Stage 4 follicular lymphoma in 2016 and Simon, diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in 2005 will share their personal experiences.

12.00pm Lunch break

An opportunity to meet, share and connect with others in attendance. Individual packed lunch will be provided.

1.00pm Lymphoma Action update

An overview of our support services for you and your family, friends or carers.

1.15pm Symptom management and healthy lifestyle tips with Q & A session

Kathryn Wight, a Lymphoma Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Freeman Hospital will talk about about symptom management such as fatigue and the importance of a healthy diet and exercise with lymphoma. 

2.00pm Afternoon refreshments

Chat over refreshments to connect and share experiences with others. Tea and coffee will be available.

2.30pm Close of day
