Vivian Campbell

In A Life Amplified, Vivian (Viv) Campbell talks about his career as a musician, and the joy and theatricality of performing with Def Leppard worldwide.

Troubled by a number of symptoms, Viv shares his feelings on receiving a diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma in 2012 and the treatment he was facing. He explains how he was determined to keep working, and how, not for the first time, the band were able to adapt.

I didn’t see any shame in it. There’s no shame in having cancer, there’s no shame in going through treatment and wearing the effects of your treatment physically. Even being in a very public position as I was going on tour with Def Leppard and playing in front of tens of thousands of people.

Viv speaks with honesty about the challenges of the various treatments he has had to keep one step ahead of his lymphoma – making it clear that he won’t let it hold him back from living an amplified life.
