The route

Our walk starts at Vauxhall City Farm, where our team will be there to register you and set you on your way! You will head north, crossing Vauxhall Bridge first and then walking along the river to the next bridge (Lambeth Bridge). Just keep crossing each bridge you come to and you'll soon reach the finish line at Tower Bridge!

We will send you a map and guide with all the details you need. You can choose your own pace, stopping as much as you like to enjoy your day out in the capital. Please note this walk is unmarshalled, meaning roads and paths are not closed and not assigned for our sole use.

It was such a wonderful event, we fully enjoyed it. There was nothing better than walking all the bridges & seeing dotted around clusters of purple t-shirts!

Our 2024 Bridges of London walk saw over 300 of our supporters taking over the Thames in the sunshine to support our work. We were delighted to see so many people from our community together, all with their own reasons for taking part. We are truly grateful to #TeamLymphoma who help us make sure no one faces lymphoma alone. You can join us in 2025!

I took part in the Bridges walk two days after receiving chemotherapy! We had a wonderful time. The information and support my family and I have received from the Charity throughout this journey has been invaluable.

Every £150 raised could cover the costs to get our information to 60 people who have just been diagnosed with lymphoma.

FAQs about the Bridges of London Walk

Here we answer the most common questions about our Bridges of London walk. If you have any other questions about this event, please contact our team on 01296 619419 or fundraising@lymphoma-action.org.uk

The route is 7 miles and crosses 10 London bridges. Vauxhall Bridge starts our walk and Tower Bridge is our finish line. Cross a bridge, walk to the next, cross the bridge and repeat! A map and route description will be provided to all walkers.

Whilst there isn’t an official finish time, Lymphoma Action staff will be at the end venue until 4pm to present you with your finishers medal. If you miss us on the day, simply email fundraising@lymphoma-action.org.uk and we will send your medal in the post. You can take the walk at your own pace throughout the day.

Be mindful that it is the UK, and the weather can be unpredictable! With that in mind, we suggest sun cream (with an appropriate SPF), waterproof layers, maybe a hat, some sugary snacks (haribo are ideal) and remember to stay hydrated, even if it’s raining.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to undertake a 7 mile walk, such as trainers or walking shoes, comfortable socks and trousers etc. Although the temperature might be mild, consider layering appropriately to cool down / warm up as required.

There will be Lymphoma Action staff at the start and end venue, along with a handful completing the walk with you! We will also have volunteer marshals out on the course. Keep an eye out for their staff t-shirts if you have any questions on the day.

There are toilets available within Vauxhall City Farm at registration. We do not have designated toilets on the route, but there are a number of public toilets that should be available for use.
