Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a national cancer charity?
Passionate, committed and talented Trustees are essential to a successful charity. They set the overall direction of the charity and make sure it is run effectively. We are recruiting for a trustee with financial expertise to chair the Finance and Risk Committee and hold the position of Treasurer of Lymphoma Action. You’ll play a key role in advising the Board on financial strategy and management issues, overseeing the financial affairs of the charity and ensuring that it complies with legal, constitutional and financial requirements and best practice.
Ideally a qualified accountant, you will have experience of chairing well-managed and inclusive meetings, making sure all members’ views are heard.
Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer; we have been providing expert information and wide-ranging support for almost 40 years. With a head office in Aylesbury, we have 41 staff and 200 volunteers and have an annual income of over £2.2m.
Being a trustee is an excellent way to develop your professional skills, improve your CV and gain real experience in strategic planning. It can be a fascinating and rewarding experience, making a valuable contribution to the charity sector.
