We won a Smiley Charity Film Award!

On Wednesday 20 March, we attended the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2024 at the ODEON Luxe, Leicester Square. Having entered our animation, Lymphoma Symptoms, in this year’s awards we were delighted to go on to win the People’s Choice award in the £1-2.5 million turnover category.   

Deborah Laing, Director of Fundraising and Communications who attended the awards ceremony said: “We want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for us and help us reach the finals. Your vote has meant our animation could be shared with a wider audience which, in turn, leads to an increased awareness of the symptoms of lymphoma”.

She adds: “It was a real privilege to be involved in this year’s awards, with so many organisations having produced powerful, emotive films to raise awareness about their cause. We want to extend our congratulations to all the winners on the night”. 

Our Lymphoma Symptoms animation has received over 19,675 views so far, so please do continue to share our lymphoma animations to help us raise even more awareness about this type of blood cancer. Our three animations, Lymphoma Symptoms, What is lymphoma? and About Lymphoma Action all aim to raise the profile of lymphoma, and the information and support we provide to people affected by the UK’s fifth most common cancer.
