May is national walking month!

Join us for our own Bridges of London walking event this month or take part in your local area!

Lymphoma Action supporters at Bridges of London

We are counting down to our flagship Bridges of London walk on Sunday 19 May! There’s still time to join #TeamLymphoma on a seven-mile route crossing ten of London’s iconic bridges. With May being national walking month, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside while showing your support to people affected by lymphoma.

If London is too far, then you can also walk in your local area by taking part in Bridges of Britain. You can get involved at any time throughout the month - just choose your own route and try to cross at least one bridge along the way! It really is your walk, your way, and a family friendly event that anyone can take part in to support our work.

“We are so excited ahead of our Bridges Walks" says Amy Billington, Senior Fundraising Manager at Lymphoma Action. “This year we want to make them even bigger to provide vital information and support to people affected by the UK’s fifth most common cancer. We are asking our walkers to raise £150 in sponsorship if they can. Every 26 minutes, a friend or loved one is diagnosed with lymphoma, and for every £150 we raise we can cover the cost of sending our information to 60 people who have just received a diagnosis of this type of blood cancer. Everyone is welcome to join #TeamLymphoma to raise funds and awareness and help us continue our work in making sure no one has to face lymphoma alone.”
