World Radiography Day recognises the contributions of radiography to medicine. It was started as a way of acknowledging the work of the physics professor WC Röntgen, who discovered X-rays in 1895. 

The discovery of X-rays meant that radiographers could take images of the inside of a body. The importance of this in lymphoma is in helping to:

World Radiography Day has developed into a broader celebration of radiography and the health professionals who work within this specialty. This year’s theme ‘Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen’ focusses on the vital role of radiographers in diagnosis and health management.
