Time to talk day, 2025
Published on: 6 February 2025It’s not always easy to talk about feelings – particularly if you’re affected by lymphoma.

Time to Talk Day is an annual campaign. It encourages people to talk and listen, to help promote mental wellbeing.
It’s not uncommon to pretend that everything’s fine, even when it’s not. Some people try to protect family and friends from their emotions, preferring not to tell them how they really feel. While it’s not always easy, open and honest conversation can be a powerful enhancer of mood. It can strengthen relationships with the people around us and give us a sense of emotional connection.
However you’re feeling, we’re here to support you. You could:
- talk to a member of our Helpline Team
- join one of our Online Support Group meetings,
- see if we can connect you with someone else with similar experience to you, through our Buddy Service
- be in touch with others through our Closed Facebook Support Group.
You might also be interested in our information about relationships, family and caring, which includes tips to help you communicate effectively with the people around you about lymphoma and talking to your child if you have lymphoma.
We have information about the emotional impact of living with lymphoma and resources to support your health and wellbeing, as well as a list of organisations that specialise in emotional wellbeing.
On the personal stories section of our website, you can read and hear personal stories from people who have been affected by lymphoma, and learn how they have coped with diagnosis, treatment, caring for a loved one and living with and beyond lymphoma.
Time to Talk is a UK-wide campaign run by Mind, Rethink Mental Illness SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), Inspire and Time to Change Wales. You can find out more on their websites.
