27th May 2020 was that most devastating day for me. It was the day I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma cancer – I’m now three years in remission. In the years that followed, I wanted to make 27 May a more positive day and do something to mark my diagnosis, but turn it around and do some good by raising, not only money for the amazing work Lymphoma Action does, but also awareness amongst all my friends and family about Lymphoma. And who doesn't love cake?!”
I held three cake sales at work, in memory of my Dad. We had many cake donations, all handmade by myself and my colleagues. We held a raffle alongside the cake sale too, which included some amazing prizes donated by small businesses!
I really want to support the charity as much as I can - we didn’t have much time to research lymphoma before Dad sadly passed. I understand so much more now and want to raise as much awareness and money for the Charity, so they can help other people and families.
Our Cakey Bakey pack is brim-full of ideas, hints and tips to make your fundraising as easy as pie! And we can send you balloons, banners, stickers for takeaway cake boxes and all sorts to bake it beautiful too.
