Need to talk? Contact our Helpline Services

We understand how difficult it can be to pick up the phone when you are worried about something.

Helpline

Whether it is you who has lymphoma, or you are calling because someone you know has a diagnosis, our Helpline Services Team is here for you.

Our Helpline Services Team is a small friendly team of staff, not a large call centre. Over the past few months they have taken enquiries on almost every topic imaginable, although because of COVID-19, the most frequently asked questions at the moment are around returning to work, the flu jab and making the best of GP or hospital appointments. They are here to support you at whatever stage you are at – whether you are concerned about symptoms, a new diagnosis of lymphoma or many years after treatment has finished. There are no ‘silly questions’.

You don’t even need to have a specific reason to contact us. When I asked our Helpline Services Team what their top tip for wellbeing at this unsettling time was, they said ‘talking’. It is important to talk about your worries and concerns. It is enormously valuable to download all your anxieties rather than bottle them up. Our team are there to listen and support - for as long as you need to talk.

Our top tip for wellbeing at this unsettling time is 'talking'.

Helpline Services Team

Back in March when new guidance was being issued regarding COVID-19, most people contacting us were seeking practical help and tips, and information about how government guidance related to them, or someone else’s diagnosis of lymphoma. There was also concern about appointments and treatment. We are experienced in talking through all aspects – from giving tips on how to prepare for your medical appointment, to discussing what symptoms to look out for if you are concerned your lymphoma may be relapsing. We really understand the importance of being able to talk things through, particularly with the additional challenges at this time, whether this is for information, or to talk through how you’re feeling. Don’t be afraid to contact us several times; our team is here for you.
