Lymphoma Action celebrates International Nurses’ Day 2018

Tomorrow, Saturday 12 May, is #InternationalNursesDay - a worldwide celebration of the nursing profession held on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
Here at Lymphoma Action, we’d like to say a special thank you to all the nurses caring for people with lymphoma. We recognise the difference you make every day.
My nurses' practical advice and emotional support gave me the lifeline I really needed and made a huge difference to me.
For more than 10 years, we’ve been supporting nurses through our dedicated education and training events and our Nurse Forum, which aims to increase awareness of lymphoma and also support and encourage best practice.
Our highly regarded lymphoma specific training programmes are recognised as a valuable contribution towards Revalidation and nurse’s continuous professional development (CPD).
Next month (June) as part of our Lymphoma Management Course at Keble College, Oxford, nurses and pharmacists are invited to attend an additional session designed specifically for their training needs. The programme focuses on immunotherapies in haemato-oncology and supporting people with lymphoma who are over 65 years old at diagnosis.
Later this year, our Lymphoma Masterclass, aimed at Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) and other senior nursing colleagues working in the field of haemato-oncology, will take place in London. This course provides an insight into the treatment and management of lymphoma and is a great opportunity to further knowledge and network with others working in lymphoma.
