International Nurses’ Day 2022

Nurses’ Day takes place on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth and is a worldwide celebration of the nursing profession.

This year, Nurses’ Day is about showcasing the difference that nurses make to patients’ lives. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the nurses who care for people affected by lymphoma.

Nurses are a key part of the services that we provide. We really appreciate all the help they give us in achieving our mission of making sure that no one faces lymphoma alone. 

• Nurses support us by reviewing the information pages on our website, ensuring they are medically accurate and up-to-date. This means we can confidently inform and support people affected by lymphoma with the best possible information.
• We rely on nurses to help spread the word about Lymphoma Action. When someone gets a lymphoma diagnosis, our nurses will give them one of our information books, which helps us reach more and more people. 
• Nurses provide us with their expertise and knowledge in webinars, podcasts and our Live your Life self-management workshops helping us to support people living with and beyond lymphoma throughout the UK.

To return the favour to the nurses who support us, we provide education and training events that nurses can take part in. Our lymphoma-specific training programmes are highly regarded and contribute towards nurses’ continuous professional development (CPD).

Once again, we would like to say a special thank you to all nurses who care for people with lymphoma, and for supporting the work we do at Lymphoma Action.
