Grief Awareness Week 2024
Published on: 3 December 2024We are here for anyone experiencing grief as a result of lymphoma.
We understand that losing a loved one to lymphoma is incredibly difficult, and a time that comes with many emotions and challenges. We also know that people affected by lymphoma can experience grief if they are told they are nearing the end of life by longing for the life they have lived. Family and friends might also experience anticipatory grief upon learning that a loved one is dying. For some people, grief comes at the point of a diagnosis of lymphoma.
As it is Grief Awareness Week, we wanted to take the opportunity to remind you of the many ways we can support you if you are experiencing grief as the result of a lymphoma diagnosis, or from the loss of a loved one.
- Our Helpline Services are available via our freephone helpline, Live Chat and email. We can offer information and, at difficult times, time to talk with a listening ear and emotional support.
- You can speak to a specialist bereavement counsellor, free and in confidence, through GriefChat, a service provided by MuchLoved, via our website.
- Our website offers information about bereavement and grief, including links to further sources of support and organisations that can support in relation to issues around end of life, bereavement and grief.
- We have an online tribute page where you can set up a dedicated Tribute Space to share your thoughts and memories if you have lost a loved one.
We are here for anyone affected by lymphoma and, however you are feeling, we are here to help.
