Volunteer Recognition Event 2025

We held our fourth annual event on Wednesday 4 June, where we focused on you as our wonderful volunteer community and the difference you make together. Volunteers from various roles across the Charity gave a short talk about how they get involved and highlights from their volunteering. Staff and a member of our Trustee Board Chrissie Kirby presented 39 service awards and 6 individual commendations for going above and beyond.

In previous years...

  • We held our first online recognition event on Monday 6 June 2022, where we launched our new awards and commendations alongside other recognition initiatives. Our Director of Services, Dallas, hosted the event and presented 128 service awards and 32 outstanding commendations.
  • Our second recognition event was held on Monday 5 June 2023 and was hosted by broadcaster Emma Forbes and journalist/author Sarah Standing, sisters who have been personally affected by lymphoma. Hear more from our hosts by listening to their episode in our Lymphoma Voices podcast series here. There were 23 service awards and 7 outstanding commendations presented.
  • Our third recognition event was held on Wednesday 5 June 2024. The event was hosted by Susan Daniels, one of our amazing Trustees who has been personally affected by lymphoma. She was joined by staff members from across the Charity and presented 40 service awards and 11 individual commendations.

Every presentation I give about our services, I say the word ‘volunteer’ dozens of times, because everywhere there is Lymphoma Action, there are volunteers like you. We could not do what we do as well as we do it without all of you.

Dallas, Director of Services
