Newly Diagnosed Programme for Carers
This four week programme is open to a partner, adult family member or close friend of someone aged 18 or over who has recently received a diagnosis of any type of lymphoma. Meetings are held on the first four Mondays of the month, at 1.30pm. Please allow an hour and 15 minutes for each meeting.
At these four support and information meetings, you'll meet others whose partner, adult family member or friend has been diagnosed in the last few weeks. You and the person with lymphoma will be in the early stages of finding out what this means for both of you.
Each meeting is structured around a different issue, with information and support from the facilitators, as well as time to share your experience with other participants.
At the end of the programme, you'll have the opportunity to join one of our regular monthly Family, Friends & Carers support meetings.
If you'd like to register, please read the following information, then click the red button below.
- 'Newly diagnosed' means someone close to you has had a confirmed diagnosis in the 6 weeks prior to your registration. The person you care for must be aged 18 or over.
- Registration is for the whole programme and you should be available to attend each of the four meetings. It is not possible to join a programme part way through, but we might be able to offer you a place on the next one.
- To ensure all participants have the opportunity to share their experience and feelings, we limit the number on each programme to ten.
- People with a lymphoma diagnosis are not eligible for this programme but are welcome to register for their own Newly Diagnosed Programme or to join one of our regular monthly online support meetings, depending on their type and treatment.
If you would like more information or to discuss whether this programme is the right option for you, please email to services.managers@lymphoma-action.org.uk.

Our support meetings provide a safe, confidential place where people affected by lymphoma can talk to each other about their experience, express their thoughts and feelings, gain insight from connecting with others, and get support and information. The facilitators will listen, seek to understand your experience and help address any questions or worries you might have.
Meetings are hosted on Zoom, but you don't need a Zoom account or experience of using Zoom. You will need access to an internet-enabled device with a working microphone, speaker and webcam to take part.
To register for any of our support meetings, you must be aged 18 or over, resident in the UK and personally affected by lymphoma.
