PR and Communications Officer

Help deliver proactive PR plans and comms activities to promote our services

  • Based at our office in Aylesbury, Bucks
  • Permanent, part-time contract of 21 hours per week
  • Salary FTE £23,000 per annum (calculated on a pro-rata basis as £13,200 for a 21-hour working week) 

Do you have PR and communications experience and want to make a difference supporting people affected by lymphoma? If so, we are looking for a self-motivated, pro-active PR and comms professional to join our small and friendly comms and marketing team.  

This is an exciting and varied role delivering exceptional service and content to external media, internal stakeholders and our online communities. You will use your experience to support the whole organisation including our income generation activities and support services, so that we can reach  more of the 125,000 people living with lymphoma in the UK. You will work closely with the communications and engagement manager to plan, deliver, and review reactive and proactive PR plans and integrated communications activities to promote and grow key areas of Lymphoma Action’s services and generate positive coverage of organisational key messages. 

To succeed in this role you will need to have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will act as the expert in your field and also have the ability to build positive and effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Lymphoma Action is a national charity that provides information and support to people affected by lymphoma – the fifth most common cancer in the UK. We also work with and support the healthcare practitioners who care for lymphoma patients.
