Communications Manager

A maternity cover role to develop and deliver Lymphoma Action’s marketing and communications activities

  • Flexible hybrid role
  • 12 months, fixed-term maternity cover contract
  • Part-time: 21 hours or 3 days per week
  • Salary: £34,000 per annum (pro-rata)
  • Closing date: 12 noon, Wednesday 8 February
  • Interviews: in-person, at head office, Aylesbury, on Wednesday 15 February

We are looking for a creative Communications Manager to cover the maternity leave of our current Manager and to work in a small, but highly dedicated team. You will develop and deliver our communication strategies and campaigns, be our ‘brand guardian’ and take responsibility for our email marketing programme. This is the perfect role for someone who is:

  • Able to think and work strategically
  • ‘Hands on’ with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Experienced in digital communications and website management
  • Has exceptional communication and written skills
  • Is highly creative and able to devise campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

Lymphoma Action has developed a great working culture that focuses on delivering the best outcomes for people affected by lymphoma, as well as prioritising a creative, inclusive and supportive environment. Due to the success of the last few years, the Charity is in a strong position to invest in and develop our marketing and communications work, so the postholder will have the freedom to explore creative and innovative ways to increase our reach, voice and engagement.

The Charity is open to considering a freelance or self-employed communications professional, or a contracted member of staff.

Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer. We’ve been providing expert information and wide-ranging support for more than 35 years, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma.
