On Friday 7 June, we are hosting our Regional Lymphoma Day at the Cadbury House Hotel in Bristol.

Anyone affected by lymphoma is welcome to hear from medical experts and meet others with similar experiences of the condition. Joining the event will be Professor Andy Davies, Consultant Haematologist, who will give an overview of new and future treatments for lymphoma, and Charlotte Bloodworth, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Haematology who will talk about ways to manage lymphoma symptoms, and the importance of a healthy diet and exercise when living with lymphoma. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Lymphoma Action Volunteers who will share their lived experiences of lymphoma, including Lesley who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2017.

“I will be talking largely about my own experiences with lymphoma” she says. “I have found over the months and years how it can be really helpful to listen to other people’s experiences, and to talk with them and understand how some of us have really very similar journeys through life”.

“Our informative and interactive day is suitable for anyone affected by lymphoma, whether they have received a diagnosis themselves or are a family member, friend or carer of someone living with the condition” adds Dallas Pounds, Director of Services at Lymphoma Action. “We invite anyone affected by the UK’s fifth most common cancer to attend our Regional Lymphoma Day for information and support, and the chance to connect with others.”

Tickets cost £20 per person (including lunch and refreshments) and prior booking is essential.
